Good News vs Bad News

Just got the result of last nights event. I didn't make the cut (the final ten).
*whew*
I know I should be sad or frustrated but honestly I'm really not. It was a sad news but a good one at that and making it to the top ten may be a happy one but definitely a bad news for I can't stand enduring the same overwhelming level of stress. It was too much to handle on a weekly basis. Just the thought of seeing those rabid eyes from each judge gives me chills all over. It was tough. It was intense. It was crazy.
But it was all worth it.

The Professionals

Some may even call it unfair because I'm an amateur competing against professionals. Yes, you read it right some contestants are already professional singers. Tough luck hotshot! I was surprised when one of the "professionals" said... "I can't believe that at my age and experience as a professional singer that I'll still get nervous"...heck! Tell me about it! It was flattering though to be included on last nights list of contenders. I had fun.

The Ballad of a Happy Loser

I can't believe that I screwed up my performance because of fear.
I was never good in showing grace under pressure. Oh well, it was humiliating, embarassing, degrading but still a great experience for a neophite like me. I love music but this is by far the most outrageous thing i did for love which makes me wonder how far would I really go for love? Gosh! It's another sentimental journey for Mr. Adonis Estrada.

The Headtone Junkie

Another thing that surprised me last night was the fact that I was so turned on by the presence of other people in the room (and I mean that in a non-sexual way)who share the same passion for music. One contender even said "red box tayo? Off nyo ba?" hehehehe...well, it was a very tempting offer especially at that point when all pressure was lifted out of our diapragms. Sorry schedule conflict.
*sigh*
But I guess there'll be another time for that. I can just imagine the fun and excitement that i'll have knowing that all of us can hit an intense headtone. It would be a musical event. It would definitely be a night to remember.

I apologize if I disappointed some of you for not making it to the top ten. But thanks a lot for the support. Thanks to Cat for being there even if I gave a lousy performance (you just don't know how much that means to me). Thanks to Louise for the kind words and encouragement (you're really the best). Thanks to everyone!

Joining this contest may be silly but I guess it served its purpose of making me realize that I can do a lot of things and I should be thankful for it.

This is just the beginning...

This morning on my way to work inside the FX... the radio station played Pride by U2 which ironically is supposed to be the next song that i'll be singing granted that I make it on the next elimination round apparently I didn't. My life is one big irony.

Beyond Shame

First day ko sa work and guess what sinalubong ako ng kakilakilabot na pangitain. Pinapalabas na sa lobby ng office namin ang mga clips nung preliminary round ng competition and kahit na hindi ako nakapasok sa top 10 eh nag-include pa rin sila ng ilang clips mula sa aking shameful performance.

Hangad ko na lamunin na lamang ng lupa ang aking heavenly body.

Amazing Grace

I had fun last night. I watched the 3rd elimination round of the PS Idol 2005 featuring the Big 10. The show was great it was almost spiritual. Everyone was amazing! I was so turned on by the level of performance each contender showed. Great showmanship. I can't wait for next weeks final elimination where they will select the final 3. Go Josie Go!

Well since wala akong ginawa kungdi ang magpaka lunod sa kalungkutan for the past weeks eh hayaan nyo akong imbitahan kayo sa remaining weekends ng November hanggang December 10 to watch Reflections. It's Ms. Regine Velasquez' concert series at Aliw theater.

On the side:
I was able to witness the fireworks display at SM Makati yesterday night. It was amazing. Return to innocence.
