I just saw Reigning...Still - The Concert featuring The Amazing REGINE VELASQUEZ. If there is one person on this earth that i would marry in a blink of an eye...it would BE HER. There is nothing in this world that I would not give just to be with her. The concert was breathtaking. It was heaven on earth. (MAHAL ko sya kaya wala sanang pakialamanan) I could go on and on praising her (which would probably last a lifetime) and I'm not complaining in fact I find pleasure doing it. Don't hate me for loving her. She inspire me. She makes me happy. She sang this song Pride by U2 by the way.

Last week was tough but some other dudes and dudettes are tougher. After three typhoons, a movie and a concert... (man, that was one helluva week!) finally here's the review.

Thursday:
Dumating at umalis ang bagyong si Yoyong. Gosh! wala akong ginawa kungdi mag-wish na matapos na sana ang unos, hindi dahil sa naaawa ako sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo kungdi dahil sa kinabukasan na ang concert ni Regine. Awa ng Dyos umalis ang bagyo just in time for the concert cum friday night. *whew!*

Friday:
Go ako sa mga mall just to see kung ano na ang lagay ng city. Well, based on my observations, parang walang dumaan na bagyo. Ganun pa rin ang lahat. Happiness! Kaya minabuti ko na manood nalang ng Alexander starring Colin Farrell.

Alexander The Great: Gay? General? King? (whatever)

He's gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay!!!!!! is all I can remember after watching the film. Mas malala pa 'to sa Troy mga kafatid! Noon pa man ay friends na kami ni Alex pero mukhang na-miss out ko yung part na boyfriend pala nya si Papa Hefa (short for Hephastion) at may engagement ring pa! (inggit naman ako dun)Juice ko nung sinabi nya yung line na "it is you that I love" muntik na akong mag-cum sa pants ko...hehehehehe (oooops CENCORED itu) buti na lang at hindi na sila naghalikan...kung hindi...tsk, tsk, tsk... malamang hinimatay na ako sa loob ng sinehan. Kaya kung bakla ka eh go ka na sa sinehan at panoorin mo na ang movie na ito.
Something to look out for:
1. Ang magandang legs ni Collin Farrell
2. Ang madugong battle scenes
3. Ang mga victory banquets
4. Ang mga scenes nila Colin Farrell at ni Jared Leto
5. Ang scene na kung saan ay nakita ang mabuhok na yagbols ni Colin Farrell
You'll definitely be inspired if you're gay. Talagang kabaklaan to the highest level ang drama.


Saturday:
Umalis ako ng maaga sa Rizal para hindi na ako matraffic papunta sa concert scheduled 8:30 pm sa Araneta. Umalis ako ng 12:00 ng tanghali, hehehehe.....(excited masyado)
Since sobrang maaga pa naman, go muna ako sa mall at nag window shopping, nag-check ng email at nag-browse ng mga porn sites, hehehehe..... speaking of window shopping, marami akong nadiscover na magandang ipang regalo na mura at useful.

7pm ang usapan namin ni Luwi sa Starbucks Araneta. Dumating ako dun ng 5pm kaya nag-ikot muna ako sa Araneta Center specifically sa ShopWise ng mga pwedeng maging Christmas gift. Kakaaliw talaga mag window shop.

Quarter to 8 na at wala pa din si bestfriend kaya go na ako sa concert. Apparently dumating si Luwi 5 minutes after magsimula nung show kaya namiss nya yung opening.

Regine Velasquez: Reigning...Still!

Hindi ko napanood ng live yung R2K pero comparing that here eh malaki naman talaga ang in-improve ng songbird.
VOICE QUALITY:
Talagang performance level ang boses nya all through out the concert (take note-2 days itu). Birit kung birit, highly competitive. Exceptional voice. Totally flawless.
COSTUME:
Hindi masyadong detailed ang costume dito pero mas daring sya talaga.
Nagsimula yung concert na lahat sila naka-costume na parang sa Phantom of the Opera (masquerade ball). Think of big ball gowns and masks with matching magic tricks provided by Eric Mana.

STAGE AND EFFECTS:
Mas maganda ang stage design ng R2K compared dito sa Reigning Still. Mas maluwag at mas maganda yung lights and effects sa R2K. Medyo kulang yung lights at walang pyrotechs and confetties. Although merong rain na tulad nung ginamit sa concert ng Boys2Men sa Water Runs Dry sa concert nila a couple of years back. The acrobatics performed by the Hotlegs dancers are also good (parang yung ginawa dun sa Bench Understatement fashion show na ginaya din sa Cirque de Soleil). Hindi masyadong pansin yung change of seasons at kailangan pa talagang i-modify through costume changes.
GUESTS:
All the guests are ok. Kudos to The Hotlegs, Sarah, Sheryn, Francis M., Andrew E., Ariel Rivera and of course Kyla. Kyla is really exceptional. Although all three young divas are really promising.
REPERTOIRE:
70 - 80% of the songs are from her Covers album. "Could It Be Magic" was used for the opening. I was expecting that she would do a "Collective Soul" medley but instead she did a U2 which is Pride (In the Name of Love). All the medleys are great. (Michael Jackson medley, Patayan medley, etc..) The number with Francis M. is amazing. Their performance singing 'Bring Me To Life" mixed with "In The End" was worthy of a Grammy award.
*sigh*

I enjoyed it sobra! So kailangan ng REPEAT!
